Mission Statement

You have a voice! You should be heard! Social media titans like Facebook and Twitter have a stranglehold on their users. They got people hooked on the massive platforms and then began to decide what content they were allowed to see, share, or post. Bottom line, if you don’t agree with their narrative, they will block, restrict, jail, and shadow-ban you. It’s time to fight back!


Hubbook’s mission is to provide an alternative social media platform, free from the barriers that are present in today’s massive networks. Unlike the tech-titan controlled networks who decide what people are allowed to see, Hubbook users are in control of their own experience.


People are encouraged to use Hubbook to make new friends in addition to connecting with current friends, family, and associates. Hubbook also allows page building to promote businesses, organizations, and ideas. Group creation allows communities to be built whereby people can meet, coordinate efforts, exchange ideas, or simply engage in a common fellowship. Direct messaging ensures personal private conversation between users.


While Hubbook maintains a code of decency, its creators do not violate personal privacy nor do they block real users from sharing information solely because they were reported by someone who was “offended”.


Aside from treating people with dignity and respect, Hubbook simply does not have a narrative to promote. So, come join the conversation and stay connected.

Social media was originally intended to provide a place where people could essentially connect with their friends, family, coworkers, etc. But these new networks provided something even more valuable and completely unforeseen. They gave people a voice in the world.


During a time when broadcasting and news creation was restricted to the very few, social media gave people a place to share information, ideas, and opinions with people all over the world.  


But the explosion of social media has brought with it, unintended consequences. Facebook, Twitter, Amazon,and Google-Youtube, virtually control the entire internet and to some extent the users of these platforms. They violate your privacy, track your habits, and collect and sell your personal data.


But the worst consequence of all is that these internet titans have decided to use their power to silence your voice.  They tell you how think, what you are allowed to post what you are allowed to see, and what you are allowed to share. If you violate their language control, they pull your posts, block your ability to share, and sometimes completely shut you down. And they NEVER give you an option to explain yourself.


 Hubbook is the new alternative to once again restore your voice in the world. Hubbook is committed to giving you a place to share your ideas with the world. Whether you are high profile with a million followers or just getting into the game, Hubbook will gladly give you a platform with the following in mind:

  • Basic decency will be used to determine what is a “bad post” when one is reported NOT whether you follow a narrative.
  • Posters will NOT be punished by having their outreach restricted.
  • Users will only see posts from their friends, communities, and pages, NOT based on some computer algorithm.
  • Community admins will be able to decide who joins and who gets blocked. YOU will be in complete control of YOUR own communities without fear of being blocked and losing control of your groups while awaiting to “get out of jail”.
  • User data will not be tracked and sold.
  • Advertising direction will not be based on collected data, but rather on real-time key strokes.
  • We will NOT suggest how to think politically

  • Members Profiles

    The member profile page gives each member a home for their content, activity, and personal info.

  • Network Structure

    Hubbook gives you lots of options for deciding how people will join, interact, and use your community.

  • Activity Feeds

    Activity feeds are streams of posts made by members mixed with notifications about what's happening in your community. Your members can comment, share, and "like" all types of content.

  • Friends

    "Friending" someone is the act of sending another user a friend request on Hubbook. The two people are Hubbook friends once the receiving party accepts the friend request. In addition to accepting the request, the user has the option of declining the friend request or block using the "block member" feature.

  • Like & Reactions

    The like button enables users to easily interact with status updates, comments, photos, links shared by friends, videos and advertisements.

    "Reactions" letting users hover on the like button for an option to use one of five pre-defined emotions, including "Love", "Haha", "Wow", "Sad", or "Angry"

  • Notifications

    Notifications tell the user that something has been added to his or her profile page. Examples include: a message being shared on the user's wall or a comment on a picture of the user or on a picture that the user has previously commented on.

  • Private Messaging

    Members can send each other private messages right in the community.

  • Advertising

    Enable users to create rich, targeted advertisement campaigns on Hubbook for promotion of businesses, websites, and even their content on site: like listings, classifieds, groups, events, videos, etc. Multiple admin created ad packages enable users to choose the right plan for their campaigns.

  • Photo Albums

    Members can populate feeds with images, connect via photo tagging, and share whole albums to create a visually engaging community. These days, a picture is worth a thousand likes.

  • Pages

    Pages is a robust directory system in Hubbook. This feature-rich plugin can be used for a wide variety of listings like businesses (hotels, stores, restaurants, etc), personalities, products, profiles, services, books, pets, etc.

  • Blogs

    Give every member a voice with their own personal blog.

  • Groups

    Members can create groups to socialize around any topic with other members who have similar interests. Groups act as smaller communities within your community, and are places of discussion and sharing under member control.

  • Events

    Members can organize community events for online and offline activities. Pick a time and place, discuss event details in the activity feed, and share content.

  • Chat & IM

    Introduce live chat for a whole new level of interactivity. Real-time conversations can happen privately between members, or publicly in chat rooms.

  • Music Sharing

    From full playlists to single song posts, members can share music with your community by embedding music players into profiles, and by posting directly to the activity feed.

  • Video Sharing

    Members can share videos from YouTube, Vimeo or hundreds of popular sites or upload videos from their computers. Leverage viral social media to keep members engaged and entertained.

  • Forums

    Forums, the old-school framework for online communities, remain a popular form of interaction. Members can create and participate in discussions about their interests.

  • Classifieds

    Host classifieds listings for goods and services, and create a trusted community marketplace where members can post and browse items.

  • Polls

    Gather community feedback with polls. Members can ask one another questions and see results with illustrated statistical data.

  • URL Shortener

    Hubbook lets users choose a username specifically for their profile, enabling them to share links bearing their own www.hubbook.com/username URL address. There are limitations, however, to what usernames can be used, including only alphanumerical characters (A-Z, 0-9), a length of over five characters, and only one username that is unique to the profile.

    Pages can also use URL shotener after having a minimum of 50 page likes.

  • Hash-tagging Support

    Hubbook support for clickable hashtags to help users search for topics being actively discussed on the social network.
